＜Research and development＞

   Shiraoi Biotechnology Center Agricultural producers' cooperative corporation was established under the state’s subsidy project the forestry agency in fiscal, in year of 1992.

   At that time, cultivation in mushroom bed has just started in Japan. This center was approved as the facilities of fungi-bed-cultivated mushroom for researching and producing. It was the second earliest action in the mushroom field.

 

   The most advanced researching facilities had been introduced liquid culturing technique of when not practicable yet. Various research and development has bone by technical cooperation with forest research institute of Asahikawa that the most advanced of researching mushroom in Japan. At an aptitude test of culture media for Shiitake cultivation, we researched and cooperated with Kinki University trying to from a culture media from waste of coffee beans.

 

   Currently, we are doing new mushroom cultivation examination and various research and development mainly shiitake fungi.

   Our research resulted to develop these products as below.

-Slim Eryngii which is phylogenetically between Eryngii and Bunashimeji

-M power which is nutritious for Shiitake

-S power which increases the number of mushrooms from fungi beds

 

   Recent acts there are below:

-Testing to increase more number of Shiitake.

-Developing and researching new cultivar or cultivation method of shot-termed harvesting cycle of 60 days by kinds or materials of the percentage of wood combination.

-Developing the weight of mushrooms to 600g in 1.3k culture media.

-Developing to cultivate high-graded Kikurage under the recent healthy boom.
